How to Use: When using as a treatment, apply a few drops on clean skin, prior to moisturizing. When using as a primer, apply a few drops on clean skin prior to moisturizer and makeup application. *For best results, allow Smooth to absorb completely before applying makeup or moisturizer.

Note: Pure Anada Smooth Priming serum is 1% Hyaluronic Acid. They use 1/2 LMW (Low Molecular Weight) and 1/2 HMW (High Molecular Weight) Hyaluronic Acid. The LMW hyaluronic acid (Sodium hyaluronate) penetrates deeper into skin cells. The HMW stays on top of the skin cells to provides a smooth feel, which is why it makes a fantastic primer once it dries on the skin.

Sometimes brands market their HA serums as being 100% hyaluronic acid. That is not possible. Typically a solution of 0.5-1% sodium hyaluronate, hydrated in a water base is referred to as a 100% hyaluronic acid serum.

CONTROL MATTIFYING PRIMER

Control Mattifying Primer helps to absorb excess oils, while simultaneously preventing dry skin. 

Skin Types: For oily prone skin.

How to Use: Apply ½ dropper of product on clean, moisturized skin prior to makeup application. If trying to eliminate excess oils, a separate moisturizer is not needed. Pure Anada Calm Hydrator may be used on top of Control Mattifying Primer if required, to soothe irritated skin conditions.

Biopolymer Chia Seed Extract is a game changer for oily skin!  It’s a modified protein that disrupts the surface tension of sebum on the skin by binding to excess sebum.  It absorbs oil in a water-dispersible polymer to form a film that reduces the appearance of oily skin and hydrates at the same time.  Chia's moisture retention benefits help to protect and condition skin.  

Lady’s Mantle Extract was shown to significantly decrease sebum in an in-vivo study.  Four female subjects between the ages of 23-25 participated in the study which showed up to a 30% decrease in sebum on the nose, and cheek area.  Participants individually noted that the treated side was described as smoother, more matte and better overall base for makeup application.

Additional Information:

Sebum can be a good thing.  It provides the skin with a protective barrier, functioning as a film former to seal in moisture.  However, in this case there can be too much of a good thing!  Excess oils cause skin to look greasy, attracting dirt and debris, making the skin look dull.  Oily skin causes makeup to shift throughout the day.
